Main Sewer Line
Every building and structure has a main sewer line running from the building to the city or county sewer line. Many problems can occur in sewer line. Clean-Outs are capped piping usually found outside a building for access to main sewer line. They allow easy access to clean and inspect sewer lines.
- Pipe movement — due to shifting soil, frozen ground, settling, etc.
- Blockage — grease or a foreign object is prohibiting the flow of the line.
- Corrosion — deterioration of the line causing sections to collapse.
- Bellied pipe — due to ground or soil conditions, creating a valley that collects wastewater.
- Leaking joints — the seals are damaged or broken, allowing water to out of pipe in abnormal places.
- Root damage — damage to pipes due to trees or shrub roots breaking into pipe causing continual blockages.
- Off-grade pipe — outdated piping causing corrosion and breakage.
