Kitchen Sinks and Garbage Disposals
Kitchen sinks can get clogged up with food, coffee grains, vegetable and fruit skins and other food debris. Many kitchen sinks have Garbage Disposals which grades and shreds food to be disposed through the kitchens sink drain line. However, garbage disposals are not made to dispose of all food debris. Garbage disposals are made with different horse powers and strengths which will accommodate any budget.
Garbage Disposal Dont's:
- Don’t put fingers or hands in garbage disposal.
- Don’t dispose of coffee grains, use as compost or trash it.
- Don’t dispose of rice or noodles.
- Don’t dispose of peelings or food skins, use as compost or throw it in trash.
- Don’t dispose of grease or fat.
Garbage Disposal Do’s:
- Do run cold water while disposal is on.
- Do use ice cubes or ice chips to clean disposal
- Do use small sliced lemons or limes to clean and freshen disposal.
